Kahill Nominated for Positive Athlete GA

April 11, 2017 - These are the stories I love to hear and then tell others about.  We hear so much negativity in today's society.  When I hear of a 16 year old who has the type of attitude that MacKenzie has and is being recognized for her positive outlook on life it makes me hopeful that others will find the same positive outlook that Mackenzie has. Congratulations MacKenzie, your NAVC family is proud of you.

Mackenzie Kahill has been nominated by her Pope High School Volleyball Program for the Positive Athlete Georgia.  Mackenzie plays on our NAVC 16 Damien team.

Positive Athlete Georgia is a movement by high-character professional athletes tied to Georgia professional and collegiate sports teams to promote the benefits of “positivity” to young athletes. These athletes believe it is crucial to begin shaping the futures of young athletes for life skills beyond athletic competition and to learn how to give back to their community. Current and former professional athletes are members of this organization, and high school athletes will be invited to join based on being nominated by a coach, school administrator, parent or fan for the annual Georgia Positive High School Athlete Awards. Our FACEBOOK PAGE is designed to celebrate nominees and new members of the organization. Coaches in youth sports leagues in Georgia are already naming “Positive Athletes of the Game” each game as a way to emphasize the importance of having a positive attitude.

Congratulations to Mackenzie on her nomination and good luck!
