 2018-19 NAVC Team Offerings:

Below is a decription of each level of team that NAVC will offer for the 2017-18 season.  We do our best to describe to you what can be expected reagarding level of team skill level, how many practices, how many tournaments etc.

National

Tournaments: 10 (includes 3 National Qualifiers and AAU or USAV Nationals)

Commitment: Mid November-June

Number of Coaches: 2         
Number of Players: 10 to 13

Season Start: November 25th (First Day of Practice)       
Season End: End of June

Practice Days: 3x a week        
Commitment Level: Primary Sport 
Tryouts required: Yes

Location: Atlanta Sport House

Regional

Tournaments: 8 (includes 2 National Qualifiers)

Number of Coaches: 2         
Number of Players: 10 to 13

Season Start: November 25th (First day of practice)
Season End: April attending the SRVA Region Championship

Practice Days: 2-3x a week         
Commitment Level: Multi-Sport Athlete
Tryouts required: Yes

Location(s): Atlanta Sport House

12 & Under Teams

NAVC will offer teams for 12, 11 and 10 year olds.  Our 12 and under players do participate in tryouts, however these are “evaluations” to determine the level of team that the player is placed on for the season.  We do not have “cuts” for our 12 and under ages as long as we have the coaches and facilities to accommodate.   

Tournaments: 8 (includes 1-2 National Qualifiers)

Commitment: Mid November-April

Number of Players: 10

Season End: April ending with SRVA Region Championship

Practice Days: 2x a week        
Tryouts required: Yes (refer to information above)

18’s Teams

NAVC will offer teams for 18 year olds.  The team will practice 3 times per week in December, attend our Team Camp December 29-30 and participate in 5-6 tournaments including 3-4 National Qualifiers working to earn a bid to the USAV Nationals at the end of April.  If the team does not qualify for USAV Nationals the team will participate in the SRVA Region Tournament at the end of April

Commitment: Mid November-April

Number of Coaches: 2         
Number of Players: 10-12

Season Start: November 25th (First Day of Practice)       
Season End: April ending with SRVA Region Championship and/or USAV Nationals

Practice Days: 2x a week        
Tryouts required: Yes 

Location: Atlanta Sport House

Metro Teams

Tournaments: 6 Total
                       4 – 1 day tournaments in Atlanta
                       2 -  2 day tournaments in Atlanta

Number of Coaches: 1         
Number of Players: 10

Season Start: January        
Season End: Mid April

Practice Days: 2x a week      
Commitment Level: Multi-sport Athlete 
Tryouts required: Yes (Tryouts will be one week after club team tryouts)
Location(s): Atlanta Sport House

Season Fees includes: Coaches’ salary, gym rental, equipment, tournaments, practices, insurance, admin fees, etc.
Program Fee: $2,200.00

Down-Payment: $500 (Commitment Day)
Plus 4 Payments: $425 (Dec-Jan-Feb-Mar)

 NAVC League Teams

 This is a great alternative to club volleyball for players that may not have the time nor resources to commit a club volleyball team.  

Dates: January 20th - March 17th (no NAVC League on Super Bowl Sunday Feb 3rd)
Day/Time: Sunday's 6:00-9:00 pm
Length of Program: 8 week
Levels
  • _____ 2nd-5th grade level (Boys and Girls)
  • Middle School (6th grade-8th grade)
  • JV (4-15's)
  • Varsity (16-18's)

Players will participate in one hour of skills training and two hours of game play each week.  Athletes are placed on teams, provided a coach, and compete against other teams within their division.  Practice and games occur on the same night.  Friends and teammates are encouraged to play on teams together, when applicable.

Week one, athletes are placed on teams according to age, skill level and position.  Teams will be given time to organize with their coach and then scrimmage the remainder of the evening.  Weeks two – seven, one hour of group skills training followed by match play.  Most teams will play two matches and ref one match each week.  Week 8 is a tournament between all teams in the respected division.
